Museum of Alabama

Alabama Department of Archives and History

The Museum of Alabama recently embarked on a program to refresh its award-winning exhibits. Monadnock both updated existing media pieces and created new programs in the Voices of Alabama gallery. We also produced a series of linear videos and interactive experiences for the Military, Children's, and First Peoples of Alabama galleries.

Alabamians have a long history of military service. Two programs in the Military Gallery explore Service, Community, and Legacy. Alabama Military Stories looks at what those themes mean to those in service. Coming Home examines the mental and physical health challenges faced by returning veterans.

Talwa Diorama and Household Platform

Multi-User Interactive

Each of these dioramas features a sketched illustration with touchable hotspots. The Talwa diorama interprets a typical 18th-century Muscogee village. The household platform introduces visitors to the Muscogee family structure and relationships using everyday objects.

Mission Control

Narrative Video

This program helps young visitors to imagine being a part of a spaceflight team by featuring an exciting launch sequence in a themed capsule environment.
